The woman will come directly down the Slot toward the Man. He will guide her such that they both end up on the Rails in Closed Position (Swing) in the form of a "V" - with the partners hinged at the hips. The Slot will remain in the direction from whence the woman came at the start of the Step Pattern.
Please note that this Step Pattern could just as well have gone into a Turning Basic. However, we are trying to teach Slot control at this time. The Turning Basic should be left until after the Students learn reasonable Slot Control.

Closed Position: By count 4 the dancers shall be in Closed Position then will complete the Step Pattern with the Anchor.
Slot at end of Step Pattern: Down the center of the "V" in the direction from whence the woman came at the start of the Step Pattern.
