This is a four-week lesson plan for dance clubs consisting of two one-hour lessons each week for four weeks. The lesson plan allows for new students to start on a drop-in basis at any lesson.
The first hour covers absolute basics which includes intensive Rhythm Pattern Exercises plus two basic step patterns which are the Underarm Pass (AKA: Underarm Turn) and the Left Side Pass.
The second hour follows a structured lesson plan that reviews the prior week's instruction plus introduces the following step patterns each week. The following step patterns will be taught: (1) Underarm Pass, (2) Left Side Pass, (3) Underarm Pass with Hand Change, (4) Right Side Pass with Hand Change, (5) Turning Basic, (6) Throw-Out, (7) Starter Step, (8) Push Break, (9) Tuck Turn from Closed Position, (10) Tuck Turn from Open Position with Two-Hand Lead, (11) Basket Whip, (12) Whip.
Every Week - 1st Hour:
Rhythm Exercises -- Underarm Pass, Left Side Pass, Closed Basic
Week 1 - 2nd Hour:
Underarm Pass with Hand Change; Right Side Pass with Hand Change, Turning Basic, Throw-Out, Starter Step
Week 2 - 2nd Hour:
Review Week 1 + Push Break
Week 3 - 2nd Hour
Review Week 2 + Closed Position Tuck Turn; Two Hand Tuck Turn from Open Position
Week 4 - 2nd Hour:
Review Week 3 + Basket Whip; Whip
