Please don't take the dance terminology used by dance instructors as gospel.  Different instructors use different terms and definitions.  That makes it very difficult for the student when studying with different instructors.  Who's right?  Who knows?  Good luck!!!  Wouldn't it be nice if each dance instructor provided a dictionary of terms they use?
