Underarm Pass

(AKA: Underarm Turn)

(Straight Count)

This exercise shows the Follower that they do the same on counts [3 & 4] and [5 & 6] as they did for the Left Side Pass. The Follower should start focusing here on further developing the Anchor.

The Leader lifts their Left Hand up and moves it straight down the slot - and does not pull or crank the Follower into the Turn. The Follower goes straight down the slot directly through the position where the Leader was at the beginning of the Step Pattern. The Leader clears the slot by stepping toward his Left Rail on counts [1 2] so the Follower can have room to pass and turn. The Follower must not squeeze the Leader's hand or use the Leader for balance. The Follower must execute everything under their own power. If the Leader uses any force at all it will throw the Follower off balance.
